FAQ

How do you choose what to review?

Life! I enjoy sharing my experiences to help others make an informed decision. I do not go out of my way to look for something to review. But if I give my pets a new toy, buy a new garden tool, or try something new, and if I have a little free time, I enjoy writing reviews for anybody else who is considering trying the same.

How do the animals write revies? The dogs can't spell and fish can't even reach the keys!

Michelle carefully watches the animals during any pet reviews to get a sense of how they feel.

In the case of food, she notes their levels of excitement for another bite, along with their determination to find more once the meal is over.

In the case of toys, she takes note of their determination level to get the toy back out once it has been put away, along with how often they grab the toys themselves when she is not interacting with them.

Negative reviews can be harder to judge. Does 3 1/2 claw marks equal 3 1/2 stars for bath time? Or am I supposed to come up with a scale for negative numbers?

Once reviews are written, Michelle reads them to the animals for final approval.

Are the reviews paid for?

At this point, none of my published reviews are sponsored. (Feb 28, 2026) While I am open to doing a few paid reviews from time to time, my reviews will always be honest. Sponsors will have the opportunity to read over and make clarifications or simply ask me not to post the review.

I do occasionally earn a small commission when readers make a purchase through my affiliate links. And of course, now that I am combining my online shop with my reviews website, I would earn something if you decide to purchase from me. 🙂

How can our products be featured?

Simply contact me with the details if you want me or the animals to try out and review a product. There are some food sensitivities, medical conditions, and general safety that will need to be considered before I accept your request. You will be given an opportunity to read over my review and clear up any inaccuracies before it is published. If you do not like my review, you are free to ask me not to click publish as long as there are no major safety concerns or if I believe you are making a reasonable attempt to address those concerns.
