Can you believe it? My baby is about to be in 10th grade! The days of impressing her with my cool cookie-cutter artwork lunches are long gone.

Being a teen has brought a whole new level of complication to school lunches ... Hard, crunchy, and sticky foods are out thanks to braces. She can't stand the texture of a sandwich that has been sitting in a bag for hours on end, and I am not a fan of having to package everything separately. She used to enjoy leftovers, but the students no longer have a microwave.

I guess leftovers can still happen. We just have to wake up a little earlier to heat them up and put them in a thermos.
