Wher were you on September 11, 2001?

This morning marks the 15th anniversary of a day that most American adults will never forget.

I was a mere five weeks and two days into this adventure called adulthood, traveling with my first real job.  My coworkers were starting to feel like family. And with this new family by my side, the idea of meeting new people was not so scary. Every stranger was a mystery that I was eager to solve.

Over 1000 miles from the action, I had no idea how big of an event was going on.

I remember the night before, I kept dreaming of airplanes crashing into tall buildings.

The next morning, everything was different. There was an uneasy calmness, and I didn't know what was going on. Something was going on. But what?

When I got to work, the new lady was a nervous wreck. Shaking and dropping things. She is the one who told me. She was worried about her family and she was worried about the fact that we were working at a very public event.
